Participant acknowledgement
I am voluntarily participating in a Southern Salt Excursions & Charters fishing, kayak, boating, dock, launch, travel, and related outdoor activity. I understand this agreement applies to the trip I am booking and to all related pre-trip, launch, on-water, and return activities.
Assumption of risk
I understand fishing, kayak use, boat operation, loading and unloading gear, casting, handling hooks, bait, knives, fish, wildlife, docks, ramps, shallow water, deep water, currents, wakes, and changing Gulf Coast conditions involve inherent risks. These risks can include slips, falls, cuts, punctures, collisions, capsizing, drowning, sun exposure, heat illness, seasickness, lightning, weather changes, property loss, serious injury, or death.
Release of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, I release and hold harmless Southern Salt Excursions & Charters, its owners, captains, guides, employees, contractors, sponsors, landowners, and affiliates from claims, demands, damages, losses, expenses, or liability arising from my participation, except where prohibited by law.
Safety instructions and fitness to participate
I agree to follow all guide, captain, posted, and trip-day safety instructions. I confirm that I and the participants in my booking can swim or will notify Southern Salt before the trip if anyone cannot swim, and that each participant is physically able to participate. I agree that alcohol, drugs, unsafe behavior, or ignoring instructions can result in removal from the activity without refund.
Medical care authorization
If an illness, injury, emergency, or unsafe condition occurs, I authorize Southern Salt staff to seek or arrange emergency medical care when reasonably necessary. I understand I am responsible for medical costs, rescue costs, and transportation costs related to me or the participants in my booking.
Weather, route, and trip changes
I understand weather, tides, water conditions, wildlife, equipment, safety concerns, and guide judgment may require a delayed departure, changed launch point, changed route, shortened trip, reschedule, or cancellation. Southern Salt may make safety decisions at its sole discretion.
Equipment and personal property
I accept responsibility for my personal items and for damage or loss caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions. I understand water, salt, sand, fish, hooks, and weather can damage phones, cameras, clothing, vehicles, rods, reels, kayaks, and other property.
Minor participants
If I book for a minor, I confirm I am the minor's parent or legal guardian, or I am authorized by the parent or legal guardian to sign this waiver for that minor. I accept responsibility for supervising minors in my group and making sure they follow all safety instructions.
Digital signature agreement
By checking the waiver box and typing my full legal name, I agree my typed name is my digital signature. I understand this digital signature has the same effect as signing a paper waiver and that Southern Salt will store the waiver version, waiver text, trip, booking, client contact information, typed signature, timestamp, and technical signing details with the booking record.
